Eddie Lowdon
Born and raised in picturesque Northumberland, drawing and painting was always a passion from an early age.
After leaving school I became an apprentice in a silk screen printing & poster-writing company, after which my career developed into commercial art in its many forms.
Then I formed my own screen printing company. After many successful years I had to retire early because of ill health. Recovering from this, I was able to take to my art full time which included exhibitions, teaching, commission work, and demonstrations.
In 2004 I moved to Dorset, and with joining other artists I continue with the same enthusiasm. In March 2017, I won the Norman Worth Cup 'Best in Exhibition' in Broadstone, voted for by the public.
I am so lucky to be able to do what I love in such a beautiful part of the country; long may it continue.
